In the center section of Jesus' Olivet Discourse in Mark 13, He answers the Apostles' question of what sign will indicate that the predicted tribulation is coming. Although Jesus speaks of certain indicators of coming troubles, both near and far, His focus is not on the trials, or the signs, but on God's sustaining grace for His elect. Mark wants us to shelter in Jesus, for He preserves His chosen ones to the end of tribulation.
