Jesus is Lord and Savior of marriage, as Mark demonstrated at the beginning of the 10th chapter of his gospel. So, it only makes sense that Mark would then show us a portrait of Jesus as Lord and Savior of children. As Jesus honored women in marriage, He will now elevate and bless children, even holding the child up as a model of faith for all to imitate.
