Jonah: In the Heat (Pt. 2)

As we come to the final paragraph of the account of Jonah, we climb to the climactic confrontation of the story and from that vantage point, see the gulf separating the heart of Jonah from the heart of God. The Creator cares about His creation; Jonah cares about Jonah. The unexpected nature of the book runs all the way to the very end by concluding with God's burning question unanswered: "Should not I show compassion to them?"
