Welcome to Open Door Baptist Church!
You are welcome here!
It is our heartfelt desire, as Open Door Baptist Church, to live up to our name. We hope that when you are with our church family, you received a warm and inviting welcome through open doors and into open lives. At the same time, we strive to obey our Lord Jesus by going out through our open doors to take love and the gospel to our community, nation, and the world.
To borrow a thought from the Apostle Paul, we know that we have not already obtained this goal, nor are we already perfect, but we press on to make it our own, because Christ Jesus has made us His own (Philippians 3:12).
I would like to personally invite you to press on in this journey with us.

What should I expect?
Expect a weekly family reunion!
Open Door Baptist Church comes home each Sunday morning to worship the Triune God of the Bible as one body, and all are welcome! When you arrive, you will be greeted by a member of our welcome team, ready with a smile, a bulletin, and answers to your questions.
Our worship service lasts about 1 hour. In the first half, we’ll spend time singing and praying together. Our musical praise harmonizes reverent awe before Jesus and casual familiarity among the church family. In the second half of the worship service, our pastor will read from God’s Word and deliver a message from the Bible. Pastor Bill strives to submit his teaching to the structure and emphasis of the inerrant, sufficient, authoritative biblical text while highlighting missions and evangelism. Right now, we are walking through the book of Mark in a sermon series Pastor Bill calls Life of Jesus.
On the first Sunday of each month, we will end the service by sharing in the Lord’s Supper together. Every Sunday we have an opportunity to worship through giving, either in offering boxes while entering and exiting, or digitally through a QR code printed in the bulletin.
Let us know you are coming by filling out a Connect Card here, and then we will know to EXPECT you!

What should I wear?
You may find some people dressed in shorts and others in suits; some in high heels and some in flip-flops. Pastor Bill might be preaching in a bowtie or no tie. Open Door Baptist Church acts like a family, so we won't judge people based on their choice of clothing. How you dress is far less important than your heart's posture and relationship with God, so come dressed appropriately to meet God together with a church family.

What's for my children?
Children are welcome and encouraged to stay with us throughout the worship service, even if they are active. As one of our deacons put it, "the sound of a baby in the sanctuary is the sound of a healthy church." We believe this is the best way for children to learn and absorb the words and activities of the faith of their parents. There are activity bags and papers just outside the worship hall doors. However, if you would prefer, a member of our childcare team is standing by and ready to assist children up through age 5 in our fun and clean nursery room.
If you have any questions, put them in the form below and we will be happy to get right back to you!

How do I join?
Scripture is clear that mutual commitment (usually called membership) in a particular local church is one of the foundational ways that Christians follow Jesus. Membership is so basic that the authors of the New Testament often use the metaphors of family members and body members to describe the local church. They assume that every believer is mutually committed to other believers in a local church. The reason for this is simple: the church is at the core of God’s plan to save sinners through the gospel of his Son, Jesus Christ.
