The relentless mercy of God, manifested in a great fish, has swallowed up Jonah and he finally turns his heart to the Lord in prayer. In Chapter 2:2-4, Jonah is driven to cry out to the Lord in the hope that he will again lay eyes on the Lord's Temple, the physical representation of His presence.
