What do you need? It seems like such a simple question. Depending on the context, the answer could be "pass the salt, please" or it could be "immediate medical attention." But from time to time, it is important for us to stop and take stock of what we long for; what we are desperate for. That is exactly why the hymnal of the Bible teaches us to sing Psalm 42-43. Once we have an honest view of the needs of our souls, we are in a better place to direct our hopes and praise!
