Life of Jesus: Signs

Throughout the book of Mark, Jesus has confirmed His authority by many miracles, but in our next passage, chapter eight verses 11 through 21, Jesus will reject the demands of the Pharisees to see a sign from heaven. He will however, rebuke His own apostles for seemingly not seeing the signs He has already given them. How do we, as disciples of Jesus, avoid these two pitfalls?
